Tech career mentoring

Mentoring with real code review and AI in your daily work. You work as if you were on a team, with every pull request reviewed by a senior developer, learn to code with AI agents without depending on them, and leave with a project in production.

or, if you prefer, write to me@rogeriolima.io

What makes this mentoring different

Team work, with reviewed PRs

No loose exercises. You run a real project with issues, branches, pull requests and CI, and I review every PR on GitHub as I would at work. In interviews, you can talk about working under a senior's review.

AI in your daily work, done right

I use AI agents and RAG in production. You learn to work with them: ask well, review what the agent did, test it, and be able to explain every line you ship.

Deliverables with deadlines

In the First Job Program you leave with a live project on its own domain, a history of reviewed PRs, a LinkedIn built to attract job offers, a finished CV and two mock interviews with written feedback.

Support between sessions

You're not on your own in the weeks without a call. The dashboard holds your weekly goals, your journal and your progress, and I read what you wrote before each session, so we start right where you got stuck.

Who it's for

  • Getting into tech

You're starting from scratch and want a clear path to your first job, without jumping from course to course.

  • Switching careers

You're coming from another profession and want to use what you already know to move into tech.

  • Juniors who want to grow

You already write code for a living and want to reach mid-level with more technical confidence and autonomy.

  • Mid-level and senior

You want to go deeper into backend, AWS, applied AI or architecture, with someone who does it every day.

How it works

  1. 01

    Free first conversation

You tell me where you are and what you want to achieve. I explain how mentoring works and we see whether it makes sense for you.

  2. 02

    Assessment

A longer conversation and a short hands-on exercise, so I can see your actual level, what you already know and where the gaps are.

  3. 03

    Study plan

I build a personalised roadmap from the assessment, with weekly goals and hands-on projects, not a generic list of courses.

  4. 04

    Follow-up

In each session we review what you did, adjust the plan and work through whatever got you stuck.

What's included

  • Initial assessmentA conversation and a hands-on exercise to set the starting point.

  • LinkedIn, CV and interviewsBuilding your LinkedIn to attract job offers: headline, about section, the keywords recruiters search for, and featured projects. Plus a CV review and mock technical interviews with feedback.

The plan starts from the roadmaps on this site and is adjusted to you. See the roadmaps

The student dashboard

During mentoring you follow everything in your own dashboard: this week's goals, your plan, your study journal and your progress. Every goal you hit earns XP, consecutive weeks build a streak, and every important milestone becomes a badge.

  • Weekly goals with XP
  • PR, interview and monthly feedback
  • Levels and weekly streaks
  • Badges for real milestones
  • A journal to note where you got stuck
  • A phased plan with progress

FAQ

Do I need to know how to code already?
No. The assessment exists to start from wherever you are, even from scratch.
What are the sessions like?
Video calls with screen sharing, so we can look at code together.
How much does it cost?
The first conversation is free. After that, the price depends on the format, and I share it over WhatsApp.
